# How to Send a WhatsApp Message in Postman

> Send your first WhatsApp message with the Hypersender API from Postman: add your API token, build the request, and deliver a message from your own number.

Send your first WhatsApp message with the Hypersender WhatsApp API in Postman. The interactive demo shows the flow end to end, and the written steps below mirror it so you can reproduce the same request in your own code.

## What you need

* A [Hypersender account](https://app.hypersender.com/register) with a connected WhatsApp instance.
* Your **API token** and **instance UUID** from the dashboard.
* [Postman](https://www.postman.com/downloads/) installed, or the [WhatsApp Postman collection](https://docs.hypersender.com/v2/api-reference/whatsapp/whatsapp-collection.json) imported.
* The recipient identifier in the `@c.us` format — see [What is chatId?](https://docs.hypersender.com/v2/api-reference/whatsapp/what-is-chatid.md).

## Request

**`POST`** `https://app.hypersender.com/api/whatsapp/v2/{instance}/send-text`

```http theme={null}
Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_TOKEN
Content-Type: application/json
```

```json theme={null}
{
  "chatId": "111111111111@c.us",
  "text": "Hi there!",
  "link_preview": false
}
```

## Queued responses

Every V2 request is queued. The API acknowledges immediately with a `queued_request_uuid` instead of the final send result:

```json theme={null}
{
  "queued": true,
  "message": "Processing your request...",
  "queued_request_uuid": "a0816120-7e37-4e8b-8cf3-92deb2cdc133",
  "queued_request_link": "https://app.hypersender.com/api/whatsapp/v2/{instance}/queued-requests/a0816120-7e37-4e8b-8cf3-92deb2cdc133"
}
```

Call the `queued_request_link`, or use the [Get Queued Request](https://docs.hypersender.com/v2/api-reference/whatsapp/queued-requests/get-queued-request.md) endpoint, to read the actual result. See [Queued Requests](https://docs.hypersender.com/v2/api-reference/whatsapp/queued-requests.md) for the full model.

> [!TIP]
>
> For production traffic, prefer [`send-text-safe`](https://docs.hypersender.com/v2/api-reference/whatsapp/send-messages/send-text-safe): it paces messages and simulates typing, which reduces the risk of your number being blocked.

## Troubleshooting

> [accordion] Authorization rejected
>
> Check that the `Authorization` header uses `Bearer YOUR_API_TOKEN` and that the token is current.

> [accordion] Invalid chatId
>
> Send the full identifier, for example `111111111111@c.us`. The API can return a validation error when the number is not on WhatsApp; see [Check Contact Exists](https://docs.hypersender.com/v2/api-reference/whatsapp/contacts/check-contact-exists.md).

> [accordion] Request queued but not processed successfully
>
> Check `response_status` and `response_body` in the queued request result, and confirm the instance connection before retrying.
